Introduction

Armocromia ("we", "our", or "the app") is a seasonal color analysis app. We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about how we handle your data. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information We Collect

Account Information

We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to create a pseudonymous account when you first open the app. We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personal contact information. Your account is identified only by a random unique ID.

Photos

When you use the color analysis or color scanning features, you provide a photo. Photos are transmitted securely to our cloud processing service for analysis by an AI model. Photos are processed in real time and are not stored on our servers after analysis is complete. Photos attached to chat messages are stored only on your device in a local cache and are never uploaded to permanent storage.

Quiz Answers

During the analysis flow, you answer questions about your hair color, eye color, and sun reaction. These answers are sent alongside your photo to improve analysis accuracy. Your quiz answers are stored locally on your device as part of your color profile.

Chat Messages

Messages you send in the Style Chat feature are stored in Google Cloud Firestore, associated with your anonymous account ID. Chat history is used to provide conversational context within your current conversation. Images attached to chat messages are sent for real-time AI processing but are not stored server-side.

Subscription Information

Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and managed by RevenueCat, our subscription infrastructure provider. We do not have access to your payment details. RevenueCat receives your anonymous user ID to manage entitlements and sync subscription status. For more information, see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

How We Use Your Information

• To perform AI-powered seasonal color analysis based on your photo and quiz answers
• To provide personalized styling advice through the chat feature
• To check whether clothing colors match your seasonal palette
• To manage your subscription status and premium features

Data Storage and Security

Your color profile and analysis results are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Chat messages are stored in Google Cloud Firestore with access restricted to your anonymous account. All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption. Photos are transmitted securely and are not retained after processing.

Third-Party Services

• Firebase (Google) — anonymous authentication, cloud functions for AI processing, Firestore for chat storage
• RevenueCat — subscription management and entitlement verification
• Google Gemini — AI model used for photo analysis, color checking, and chat responses (data processed in real time, not stored)

Data Retention

Your color profile is stored on your device until you delete it. Chat messages are retained in Firestore until you clear the conversation or delete your data. We do not retain photos after processing.

Your Rights and Choices

You can delete all your data at any time from the Settings screen in the app. This removes your local color profile, clears your chat history from our servers, and resets your anonymous account. No action is required from our side — deletion is immediate and automatic.

Children's Privacy

Armocromia is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
